An unprecedented concept, TRUNK aims to encourage guests to integrate social contributions in to their everyday, while embodying a theme of socialising. The hotel is housed within two adjacent four-storey buildings that take on geometric forms. Each of the guestrooms – comprising four suites and 11 standards – are different in size, layout and furnishings. The common thread is a contemporary Japanese design aesthetic with clean-lined décor, warm custom-made furniture and Japanese artworks. Some rooms feature outdoor spaces with a plethora of aromatic green plants, while all rooms feature a minibar filled with Shibuya-born snacks and drinks, made in collaboration with local shops or partners.
