Conceptualised by Kulör Group, with interiors by Muza Lab and landscape design by Topo Design Studio, the nine-villa retreat occupies two islands in the UNESCO-protected Baa Atoll. Its carved wood, stone, marble and richly coloured fabrics draw on the shifting tones of the surrounding sea and sky to create a playful yet refined sense of place.
The suites were celebrated as a “textural playground of the colours of the sea”, balancing bold, unconventional details with a masterful use of materials and handcrafted finishes. Across the landscape, the jury praised the “carefully balanced moments of shade, sea and courtyards”, shaping a resort that respond sensitively to its island setting.
