Embedded within the landscape of Bandhavgarh National Park, The Oberoi Vindhyavilas was named the AHEAD Asia 2026 winner for Lodges, Cabins & Tented Camps.
Spread across twenty-one acres of untamed landscape, the retreat was created by Anil Patla and The Oberoi Group, with interiors by Studio Lotus and landscaping by IPDM. Comprising 19 tented suites and two private pool villas, the resort’s design draws upon the craftsmanship of local communities, with a focus on raw materials and a close connection to the surrounding wilderness, with a focus on prioritising the preservation of its natural habitats.
The panel noted how the setting, tented accommodation and material palette combine to create a deeply personal guest experience. Offering “a great balance between social grouping and individual intimacy”, the resort was praised as a place to unplug and reconnect with nature, while retaining a true sense of luxury.
