Four Seasons Resort & Residences Amaala at Triple Bay, Saudi Arabia

Guestrooms

A striking new expression of luxury hospitality on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, Four Seasons Resort & Residences Amaala at Triple Bay was the standout winner at AHEAD MEA 2026, taking home three awards including the prestigious title of Hotel of the Year.

Also recognised for Hotel Newbuild and Guestrooms, the Red Sea Global development pairs the dramatic architecture of U+A with richly layered interiors by Goddard Littlefair. Conceived around the narrative Touched by Land, the design strikes a careful balance between architectural grandeur and intimate, residential luxury. Soaring volumes and sweeping coastal views give way to tactile interiors, where hand-carved stone, woven textiles and sculptural detailing offer a contemporary interpretation of regional craftsmanship. In the guestrooms, braided leather, textured plaster and natural timber introduce warmth and depth, while sliding screens reveal open-plan bathrooms with freestanding tubs positioned to embrace the surrounding landscape. The result is a cohesive, sensory experience that celebrates its setting without compromising the refinement of the Four Seasons brand.

The judges were particularly impressed by the project's ability to deliver luxury on such a scale without sacrificing intimacy, praising its “sophisticated and cohesive guest experience” and “strong connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces”. The guestrooms were singled out for their “refined detailing” and “seamless connection to the outdoor terrace”, with every element “thoughtfully considered” to create a space that feels both timeless and highly desirable.
