Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai, UAE

Resort

Completing a trilogy of architectural icons along Dubai's coastline, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab was named best Resort at AHEAD MEA 2026, inspired by the elegance and fluidity of a superyacht at sea.

Designed by Killa Design for Jumeirah Group, the striking resort extends out into the Arabian Gulf, with sweeping curves, layered balconies and a sculptural silhouette evoking a vessel gliding across the water. The 386-key resort comprises an exclusive superyacht marina, private beaches and lush, landscaped pools. Deep terraces frame uninterrupted sea views, while shaded cabanas and verdant outdoor spaces soften the bold architecture to create a seamless journey between built landscape and shoreline. The result is a destination that balances the grandeur of Dubai's architectural ambitions with the privacy of a coastal retreat.

The panel commended the resort's strong architectural identity and elevated guest experience, praising the collaboration between its architects, interior designers and landscape architects for creating a “bold and beautiful” destination. A particular highlight was its “sophisticated selection of materials and attention to details”, singling out the arrival experience and landscaping for their ability to transport guests from the city to tranquillity.
