The Spa – Four Seasons Resort & Residences Red Sea at Shura Island, Hanak, Saudi Arabia

Spa & Wellness

Where ancient wellness rituals meet the natural beauty of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, The Spa at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Red Sea at Shura Island wins the award for Spa & Wellness at AHEAD MEA 2026.

Conceived by Meyer Davis as an extension of the resort's nomadic-inspired design concept, the spa translates the surrounding coral reefs, shifting dunes and coastal landscape into a sanctuary of flowing forms, natural textures and filtered light. At its heart, a striking circular stone hammam reimagines a traditional ritual of care, with a delicately carved timber ceiling inspired by coral formations and a central skylight casting shifting patterns across the space. Beyond, intimate treatment rooms open onto private outdoor terraces, framing uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. The result is a seamless interplay of architecture, nature and wellness, where every space encourages guests to slow down and reconnect with their surroundings.

The panel praised the project's exceptional coherence, describing how “concept, architecture, materiality and light are carried through with rare consistency”. The hammam was singled out as a “memorable and highly resolved centrepiece”, with the wider spa celebrated for creating a beautifully considered journey of “ritual, privacy, restoration and reconnection with the landscape”.
