Ahead of this year's MEA ceremony, we sat down with Marcel Wanders to discuss the spectacular Mondrian Doha, a project shortlisted in the Event Spaces category at AHEAD MEA 2018.

Based in Amsterdam, Marcel's studio has completed a number of prestigious hospitality projects including Kameha Grand Zurich, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and Mira Moon, Hong Kong. His distinctive style is instantly recognisable, championing print on print, an abundance of colour and a dash of crazy, all the while maintaining a sense of luxury, attention to detail and consideration of the locale.
