Heckfield Place, Hampshire, England

Hotel Renovation

Once home to antiquarian Horace Walpole, ‘Heckfield Place’ has been judiciously re-crafted into an effortlessly stylish countryside hotel of the highest quality, with 46 beautiful bedrooms, two restaurants, screening room, spa treatment rooms, wine cellar, gardens and working farm, centred on sustainability and biodynamic farming principles. Spratley & Partners completed the dramatic transformation of the 430-acre site in Hampshire in 2018, after a significant programme of works which began in 2009 for private investment company, Morningside Group. At its heart, a splendid, Grade II listed Georgian house, built in the 18th century, has been sympathetically restored, along with the provision of extensive new facilities and thoughtful re-use of the historic grounds.
