A 37-key hotel housed within a restored 'godown', The Warehouse’s lobby and bar lounge was treated as one space, breaking the norms of a hotel reception. Plants are scattered, emphasising the tropical environment while softening edges within the space. Customised pulley lights decorate the lobby lounge, reflecting the property’s historical former use while the original brick walls have been maintained. As part of its design concept - by Asylum and Zarch Collaboratives - Singapore’s forgotten history has been revisited; marrying historical touches with modern luxury design finishes.
