The shortlist for this year's AHEAD Americas has been announced! You can take a look at the the full list here.

With just over a month to go until the winners will take to the stage, we take a bite-sized look at some of the contenders. Keep an eye out on our social media and through our newsletters for further news including the event theme; which will set the scene with a dress code and dining menu for the ceremony.

SHORTLISTED FOR EVENT SPACES | GOLD DIGGERS, LOS ANGELES

Located on Los Angeles’s famed Santa Monica Boulevard in what was once a decadent dive bar, Gold Diggers encompasses an 11-room boutique hotel, bar and its very own recording studio. Staking a new claim on East Hollywood, the 1970s-style rock ‘n’ roll retreat has caught the eye of self-selecting artists, music lovers and design aficionados.

SHORTLISTED FOR HOTEL CONVERSION | HOTEL PETER & PAUL, NEW ORLEANS

Hotel Peter & Paul is the result of a four-year restoration of a former schoolhouse, rectory, church and convent, each of which has been carefully repurposed with its own inspiration and narrative. Steeped in history, the property features authentic furnishings designed and constructed by local artisans, as well as antiques collected from New Orleans’ finest estates.

SHORTLISTED FOR LOBBY & PUBLIC SPACES | THE MAVEN HOTEL AT DAIRY BLOCK, DENVER

Taking centrestage in the lobby at The Maven Hotel is ‘The Quantifiable and The Ineffable’, a 300lb hand sculpture crafted by Colorado artist Andrew Ramiro Tirado. Made from reclaimed wood and suspended from the ceiling, the monumental carving beckons visitors from the neighbouring Dairy Block – Denver’s newest micro-district.

SHORTLISTED FOR RESTAURANT | THE NOMAD RESTAURANT AT PARK MGM, LAS VEGAS

Set in a majestic space with floor-to-ceiling shelves housing over 25,000 books, The NoMad Restaurant at Park MGM Las Vegas celebrates grand, mid-century dining with a dash of theatre. Created and managed by chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the restaurant is rooted in casually elegant cuisine and an innovative wine and cocktail programme.
